This is the first of what I hope could be many custom FuzziPlush!

  • FuzziRokki is a modified FuzziTanuki, customized into the likeness of “Rokki,” a character belonging to AkelaVincent of FA.
  • Sits about 8” (20cm) tall just like FuzziTanuki.  Tail is another 6” (12cm) long.
  • Made from soft polyester fleece with applique markings much closer to a real tanuki. o_o;  The white is actually ivory fleece to match, lol.
  • His head leaf is made of fleece and sewn on, but can be turned to pose in stylish ways!
  • Sits very well with such a large bottom, but does have plastic pellets in the feet to keep him balanced.

Akela was awesomely patient while waiting on this lil’ guy, which I had a blast making!  This will definitely open opportunities for other FuzziFursona plushies, as I’ve already been talking it over with another. :3

Little slow on the draw here on tumblr, but thanks to all who came out to Anime Weekend Atlanta to say hi and take home a new friend— especially to those I’ve met before! It put quite a smile on my face to hear how some of my plush creations are doing.
I guess a post-con report of sorts is in order?  I usually don’t bother, but I guess this one ends with upcoming changes to FuzziMutt Creations.  Read if you’re curious. o:

Post-Con Report: AWA 2014
This was my third year doing this con and honestly, not one of the best. ^^; Don’t worry, this isn’t a comment on the Con itself, tho I have plenty of thoughts there.Business-wise, I certainly didn’t do as well as planned.  Most of this was my fault for having to miss all of Friday from poor planning and getting myself sick thanks to it.  But I’ve heard from other artist friends that they didn’t do as well either… so it could have just been a slow year.
On a FuzziMutt-specific note, tho, I’ve noticed a shift of interest in my fanbase.  This happens, of course, but it’s unfortunate that a vending artist has no way to prepare for it.Don’t get me wrong, I’m aware that variety is uh… the logical way to discover interest… *looks at inventory of mostly Octoplush <_<; *  But lack of variety is not the problem I have either.
The type of plush I want to make and other desired inventory have already proven not to sell as well to the anime audience, so I continued making the more popular and better-selling Octoplush.  This time around, I guess it’s kinda… old sauce? lol.  Therefore, I think I’ve decided to focus on a Con where I already know said plush and items are well-received.
Nothing is absolute yet, hence the vagueness; and this certainly doesn’t mean I’ll stop making Octoplush EVER.  I’m simply planning an artistic redirection.  Cute and Fuzzi stuff will continue, just of a different type!
… uh… Thanks for reading if you’re still here, lol.

Sorry things have been so quiet around here!
Much has happened with Teh Mutt over the past few months.  Currently, convention season is underway and things have been VERY busy in the FuzziMutt workshop and beyond.
Sometimes it helps to take a minute and smile. So here’s a cheery rainbow of Octoplush to brighten your day!

On the Importance of Good Product Photos:

Faced for the first time with needing to find peach/flesh colored fleece (which is apparently as rare as unicorn sightings), I THOUGHT I’d found it… only for it to be very pinkish when it arrived.

I only bought it because of the old product photo, which looks peach enough for my needs. After my purchase, the product photo was updated with a much truer representation. I certainly wouldn’t have bought it if the new photo had been in place.

While various monitor settings make color matching often difficult, the old photo was simply a sub-par one anyway. Make sure you take excellent photos of things you plan to post online, products or otherwise. ._.
